Not too long ago the legendary Hubert de Givenchy passed away at the age of 91. A lifelong friendship with Audrey Hepburn resulted in beautiful collaborations.
Hubert de Givenchy has been, and continues to be an inspiration to many (aspiring) fashion designers. His clothes have it all. They were simple, yet extremely elegant and classic. They have become timeless pieces of art… Just walk into a store today and you’ll see many things that have been inspired by his designs.
In November 2016, Gemeentemuseum in The Hague (Netherlands) opened up a unique exhibition, put together by the museum of course and none other than Givenchy himself. I’ve share photos of this event on Instagram before but I thought it would be nice to just put them all together for you in one article.
Monsieur de Givenchy will be missed but never forgotten. He will continue to be an inspiration and I’m convinced his designs and the ones inspired by him will never go out of style. He was a true gentleman and one of a kind.
